Manage authorizations: Spelsberg

Manage authorizations

Authorization protects you from "energy theft" by unauthorized charging processes. The charging process only starts after authentication.

However, the authorization itself is uncomplicated for users and, depending on the vehicle model, is even taken over by the electric car via Plug & Charge or AutoCharge. Alternatively, authorization via RFID chip is possible as standard for all Spelsberg wallboxes.
In addition to the single-family home and an installation in the outdoor area, this is particularly important, for example, for apartment buildings. Thus only authorized persons have access to the Wallbox.

Furthermore, with active charging authorization, the meter data is assigned to the respective users. It does not matter whether the authorization was made by RFID chip, Plug & Charge or AutoCharge. This serves as the basis for individual billing of the charging current of the users.

Use Cases

RFID-Chips

Charging authorization via RFID chip is possible as standard with all Spelsberg Wallbox variants. Here you can use the RFID chips included in the scope of delivery or other RFID cards according to ISO 14443A / MIFARE Classic. Please note that all RFID chips must be taught to the wallbox in order to use the charging authorization.

Plug & Charge / AutoCharge

Charging authorization via Plug & Charge (according to ISO 15118) or AutoCharge is possible with the Spelsberg Smart Pro wallbox. Authorization is extremely simple for the user, as the electric vehicle authorizes itself independently at the wallbox. No additional step is required by the user. Please note that the electric vehicles must be trained to use the charging authorization at the wallbox and support the Plug & Charge or AutoCharge function.
